Tim Manns
In his early days as a broadcaster, Tim worked on Radio Bahrain where he apparently also
worked with Bob McCreadie.
Tim joined Orchard FM around 1995 and in his early days with the station hosted such shows as
"Solid Gold Sunday" and "Sports and Music Show" - Tim also "filled in" for other presenters
when they were sick or on holiday. Tim's break at Orchard came in 1997 when he took over the
prestigious weekday morning-into-afternoon show from Phil Easton.
In late 1999 Tim left Orchard FM to help set up and run the new "sally" radio station for
Bath. Tim presentsented a similar time-slot on Bath FM to which he did on Orchard.
Tim was originally the Programme Controller at Bath FM but was later promoted to Managing Director.
After leaving Bath FM Tim went on to become the Programme Controller for The Saint in Southampton, where he remained for around three years.
Always looking for new challenges, Tim decided to move on to Channel FM in Jersey where he is currently the Programme Controller and occasional presenter covering for holidays or sickness.
Tim categorically denies his departure from Orchard FM was related to the GWR take-over.
Tim played out his last show on Orchard with Beatles - "I'll Be Back".
